One of the techniques used most in Orejudo's decoration is gilt, which demands highly-specialised craftsmen who apply layers of gold leaf to a surface that has been carefully prepared with several layers of plaster and bol (red clay mixed with glue). |
| The decoration of each piece transmits personality, and Orejudo's works are given a high-quality antique character by the materials used: polychrome in oils, tempera and sgraffito techniques - which can be seen in the complex figures of the gold applied beneath the paint - and patinas based on natural waxes. |
