Spartaco, Chief of the rebel slaves, born in Lucania in 71 BC. His name has remained as a personification of the social revolution. He put himself in charge of the two hundred gladiators of Capua, who unhappy the way they were treated by their employer tried to evade, who were joined by an authentic army, exploding an authentic war that lasted from 73 to 71 BC, and that after A series of initial victories by the followers of Spartacus were suffocated by the Roman legions ending what could be classified as the slave's revolution.
